he Lakes Area Theatre audience will be treated to a special performance of Sweet River County by the Theatre Off The Cuff comedy duo Dave Christman and Colin Hearn. The two men play eight male and female characters gathering at the funeral of Lurlene’s 99 year old daddy. Chester Haller fell asleep at the dinner table, dropped head first into his chili, sucked two beans up his nose and suffocated. All her life Lurlene has felt that the family was cursed and that curse just continues. But to add insult to injury, the funeral instructions were mumbled so instead of resting in peace in a casket, he was cremated at Sweeney’s Bakery. The show is a wonderful journey that asks questions we all wonder about. Be warned, the answers provided by these impeccably timed actors will be wrapped in humor and imagination while smelling a whole lot like sticky buns. Show time is 7:00 p.m. for this one hour special.
