Be Involved

Were you the person who heckled teachers all day by creating and making weird and different noises?  Would you consider working in Sound Effects?

Have you wanted to act but have stage fright?  Have you been told you have a face for radio? Voice Acting may be the thing for those aspiring stars!

Do you like to putter around with software, sound, volume, and mixing them all together?  Are you a GarageBand groupie? Well, well, well….we need Recording Engineers also.

Do you like creating mood with music?  Does your life have its own personal soundtrack? We’d love to have different Musicians at our keyboard setting the tone and mood for a show!

If the phrases “places everybody,” “all quiet on the set,” “we’re rolling,” “action,” get your heart pumping, please inquire about Directing a show or two.

Lakes Area Theatre

Many folks make light the work, or so we’re told!  With a weekly production schedule and plenty of folks involved we can all have fun applying our entertainment prowess to create exciting and dynamic performances.

We would like to have each show we produce be written by area talent.  Writers, please submit your scripts to lakesareatheatre@gmail.com with “Script Submission” written in the email Subject line.  Upon acceptance, we will work with writers to fine tune their scripts for performing and airing.  Click here to view our Script Submission Policy. Our shows are family friendly and generally apolitical.

Beyond the theatrical aspects of involvement, you can sponsor a show, attend a live performance, and listen to us either on your radio at KXRA 1490 AM or streaming live from the KXRA website www.kxra.com.

Whatever means, whatever capacity you’d like to join the fun and the rumpus of putting on live, recorded radio theater, please contact us.  Specify what area(s) for involvement in an email Subject line.  We look forward to hearing from you!
