Fire Pit Productions is joining forces with Lakes Area Theatre to provide even more theatrical experiences to the Alexandria Area. Fire Pit Productions will be bring you small cast stage plays that hearken back to the days of sitting around the bonfire telling stories.

“The Father: A Tragic Farce” by Florian Zeller is a very powerful piece of theatre that addresses the struggle that exists when dealing with a parent suffering from dementia.
Dementia is not a specific disease. It’s an overall term that describes a group of symptoms associated with a decline in memory or other thinking skills severe enough to reduce a person’s ability to perform everyday activities.
Dementia is caused by damage to brain cells. This damage interferes with the ability of brain cells to communicate with each other. When brain cells cannot communicate normally, thinking, behavior and feelings can be affected.
Many dementias are progressive, meaning symptoms start out slowly and gradually get worse.
